About Marc Jacobs

Marc Jacobs is the New York fashion house its founder started in 1984. LVMH bought a majority stake in 1997, and Jacobs designed Louis Vuitton ready-to-wear for sixteen years alongside it. In September 2026 LVMH sold the house: the name and intellectual property went to MJ Topco, owned equally by G-III Apparel Group and WHP Global, which licenses them to G-III to run the Marc Jacobs shops and websites.
