Trulia was Zillow's largest competitor until Zillow bought it in 2015 for about $2.5 billion in stock. It continues to run as a separate site with a different emphasis on neighbourhood information, sharing the listings database with its owner. Its founders had built it around neighbourhood data such as schools and crime rather than around listings alone, and that emphasis survives inside the group that acquired it.
