About Maker's Mark

Maker's Mark is a wheated bourbon first sold in 1958, using wheat rather than rye as the secondary grain, which gives a softer character. Each bottle is dipped in red wax by hand. A 2013 attempt to cut the proof to stretch supply was reversed within a week after customer objections.
