About Hannaford

Hannaford operates supermarkets across northern New England and was among the first American grocers to publish a nutritional rating system on its shelf labels. Delhaize acquired it in 2000. The rating system awarded stars based on nutrient density, and most products in the store, including many marketed as healthy, received none.
