Nexxus is a premium hair care brand founded in Santa Barbara, California in 1979 by hairdresser Jheri Redding, who also created the Jhirmack and Redken lines. It was sold through salons for decades before moving into retail distribution. Unilever acquired it as part of Alberto Culver in 2011.
