About Bango
Bango is a sweet Indonesian soy sauce, kecap manis, made since 1928 and used in almost every savoury Indonesian dish. Unilever acquired the brand in 2001 and it is one of its largest food products in Southeast Asia. The company contracts directly with Indonesian soybean farmers for supply, which it presents as a sustainability programme as well as a sourcing one.
